Consumer-Driven Health Plans Research and Studies
UnitedHealth Group® conducts
studies regularly. The 2006 study compares members in a consumer-driven
health plan to those in a preferred provider organization. Consumer-driven
health plans continue to stimulate positive changes in consumer health
behavior – increase use of preventative care and decrease use of acute
care. The 2007 study focuses on the influence of plan structure and consumer
adoption/use of health saving accounts. Consumers better understand how
their benefits work and are realize the advantages of saving early for
future health care expenses.

UnitedHealth Group’s subsidiary, OptumHealth Financial ServicesSM is
an integrated financial services company bank, dedicated exclusively to
meeting the needs of individuals, employers, health plans and health care
