As the Senior Vice President of the Central and West Regions, John is responsible for the overall satisfaction, retention, and growth of UnitedHealthcare’s national account customers. In addition, John also serves as the General Manager for National Accounts Client Management. In this role he ensures consistent processes and customer focus across all UnitedHealthcare national account clients as well as engages with consulting partners throughout the US. John is part of the National Account Executive Leadership team.

Before joining UnitedHealth Group in 2003, John worked as a national healthcare and benefits consultant, both as a Principal at Mercer HR Consulting and as an Associate for Watson Wyatt. In addition, he has direct physician and hospital management experience through his roles as director of primary care clinics in Illinois and as a health plan provider relations director.

John has a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and English from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Public Administration in Health Care Policy from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. He has also completed the General Management Executive Leadership program at Columbia University.
