Dr. Kerr provides strategic leadership and a focus on customer needs in the key areas of care management, clinical operations, consumer health and medical care advancement. He works closely with UnitedHealth Networks, United Pharmacy Management and United Resource Networks.

The former director of healthcare management and chief medical officer for the Ford Motor Co., in Dearborn, Mich., Dr. Kerr brought extensive experience and knowledge to the specially created position when he joined Uniprise in 2003.

During his tenure at Ford, he was responsible for managing the health benefits for all Ford employees globally, as well as overseeing medical clinics at more than 100 major manufacturing facilities. Prior to joining Ford, he was the company medical director at General Electric in Fairfield, Conn.

Previously, Dr, Kerr practiced medicine and helped co-found a multi-site, group practice/urgent care facility and women’s center.

He served with a number of prestigious industry groups that focused on quality in health care, including the Washington Business Group on Health and the National Committee for Quality Assurance. He was also the chairman of the Leapfrog Group.

Dr. Kerr attended Harvard University and received his medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine.
