health care to provide statistically valid data that identifies
trends, best-practices and the benefits of these innovative health
plans. Over the last nine months, Definity Health, a UnitedHealth
Group company, conducted three studies that highlight the positive
changes consumer-driven health care can bring to employers and
employees. These studies
have addressed the following:
• How health care spending
and consumer behavior can be positively advanced
• How the integration of a health and
financial solution will increase HSA use and adoption
• How individuals enrolled in a CDH
plan seek needed care at rates equivalent to, or in many
cases higher than, traditional plan participants
Consumer-driven health plans are expected to
