Ms. Baratz brings over 20 years of experience to overseeing
Definty Health’s marketing and public relations. In
this role, she is responsible for ensuring that Definity
delivers market-sensitive, consumer-centric solutions for our
members and their employers. As a leader of our consumer-driven
health business since 2002, Ms. Baratz also works with the
media, legislative, and policy communities to drive a shared
understanding of consumerism in health and Definity’s
role in transforming health care.
Ms. Baratz regularly serves as a source of strategic expertise in public forums,
policy venues, client discussions and the media. A member of URAC’s
committee on consumer engagement, she helped defne standards for delivery of
consumer-engagement services, and has spoken to organizations such as the National
Business Coalition on Health.
Prior to UnitedHealth Group’s 2004 acquisition of Definity Health, Ms.
Baratz drove development and growth of United’s consumer-driven business. She
has worked with large employers for more than 20 years, in account management,
sales and marketing leadership with MetLife, MetraHealth and UnitedHealthcare National Accounts. She
graduated magna cum laude from Mount Holyoke College, and holds an Executive
MBA from New York University.
